Rentals

It’s easy to rent a motor scooter here, and it is the most common way to get around. No license is required, but it is good to have a little experience if you want to rent one. They’re very easy (twist and go), but being confident and safe on the road is important.

If you’re new at it or a little out of practice, we’d be happy to come down the street (where they rent them) with you and give you some pointers. 🙂

You can rent a scooter directly with us for 250b a day, or 800b for 4 days.

For those wanting the independence but not sure about a scooter, there is the option of renting a car as well. We have a friend who owns a transport company who does car rentals and can drop one off right to your door. The prices vary, based on model and time of year, but you’re probably looking at 1000b a day (24hrs)- give or take a couple hundred baht.

There are bicycles for rent on the island as well, usually running around 80b a day. Keep in mind that we live high up on a hill, so while 1 way will be really fun, the other way might be a little more challenging 😉
